North Wilkesboro Speedway, located just outside the town of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, is not directly served by public transport, which is why most fans arrive by car, rideshare, shuttle service or stay at nearby campsites within walking distance of the track. That said, it is still possible to reach the area without driving the entire way yourself.
Bus
Long-distance bus operators such as Greyhound serve nearby cities including Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Charlotte. From these hubs, fans can continue to North Wilkesboro by rental car or rideshare. Direct bus service to North Wilkesboro is limited, so checking connections in advance is strongly recommended.
Train
Amtrak does not operate a station in North Wilkesboro. The closest passenger rail stations are in Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Charlotte, all of which are connected to major Amtrak routes. From there, the final leg to the Speedway must be completed by car or rideshare.
Rideshare and taxis
Uber and Lyft operate in and around North Wilkesboro, but availability can be limited during race weekends, especially immediately after the event. They are most reliable when used from downtown North Wilkesboro or nearby accommodation areas. Traditional taxi services are also available, mainly around hotels and regional transport hubs.
