TRAVELING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Phoenix Raceway isn’t directly served by regular public transit, so most fans choose to drive, use rideshare services, or stay at nearby campgrounds. However, there are still several convenient ways to reach the track without relying solely on your own car.

Race day shuttles

On NASCAR weekends, shuttle buses operate between select parking lots, campgrounds, and Speedway entrances. Service usually begins several hours before the green flag and continues until all fans have cleared the property after the race. Although short waits can occur right after the checkered flag, the buses generally move quickly once boarding begins.

There is usually a free bus shuttle running from several pickup points in the surrounding area of the Raceway, making access easier for fans staying nearby. However, for the upcoming season, this service has not yet been officially confirmed.

This service is ideal for fans staying in the city who prefer not to drive or deal with parking on race day.

Getting to Phoenix by bus or train

Bus
Long-distance companies such as Greyhound and FlixBus serve downtown Phoenix, which is about a 20-minute drive from the Raceway. From the bus station, fans can take a taxi, rideshare (Uber/Lyft), or rental car to complete the trip. Note that the closest public bus stop is called Civic Center Dr (Line 3 or Line 28), but from there, you need to continue by taxi or rideshare.

Train
Phoenix currently does not have direct Amtrak service, as the line through the city was discontinued. The closest Amtrak stop is in Maricopa, about 35 miles south of Phoenix. From there, passengers can connect to downtown via Amtrak Thruway buses and continue to the Raceway using a taxi, rideshare, or rental vehicle.
